Fan Flower Crochet Doily

I was asked to translate a pattern from chart to words by a woman in a facebook group I'm in. I've been thinking of doing these translations anyway, so I thought she could be a good first try!

So here, especially for Stacypoo Williams, is the very first translated pattern. I hope it makes sense, and please let me know if/how I can make it better!

I'll post the bigger doily first and update soon with the smaller piece.

1. Ch 8. Join in 1st chain to form loop.
2. Ch1, sc 15 in loop. Sl stitch to first sc.
3. Ch 6 (counts as dc and ch 3), [skip one sc, dc in next sc, ch 3] 7 times around, slip stitch in 3rd loop of beginning ch 6.
4. In each ch 3 space around, crochet [sc, dc 3, sc].
5. Ch 6 (counts as sc, ch 5), [sc in gap between the two scs in previous round, ch 5] 7 times, sl st to join in 1st chain of beginning ch 6.
6. 6 sc in ch 5 space, ch 1, [7 sc in ch 5 space, ch 1] around, sl st to join.
7. Sl st on first sc, ch 1, sc 5 on sc, sc 1 on ch, ch 2, [skip 1 sc, sc 6 on sc, sc 1 on ch, ch 2] around, sl st to join to 1st ch.
8. Rep round 7.
9. Rep round 7 with ch 3 instead of ch 2.
10. Rep round 9.
11-18. Rep round 10, but increasing one ch per round. Round 18 should have ch 11 where it says ch 2 in round 7.
19. Sl st on first sc, ch 1, sc 5 on sc, [ch 5, in 6th ch below crochet (dc, ch 5, dc), ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc 6 in sc] around, sl st to join in beg ch.
20. Sl st on first sc, ch 1, sc 4 on sc,[ch 5, dc 10 in dc/ch loop, ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc 5 in sc] around, sl st to join in beg ch.
21. Sl st on first sc, ch1, sc 3 on sc,[ch 5, (dc, ch 1) in each dc, ending with a dc, ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc 4 in sc] around, sl st to join in beg ch.
22. Sl st on first sc, ch 1, sc 2 on sc,[ch 5, sc in each dc and ch, total 19 sc, ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc 3 in sc] around, sl st to join in beg ch.
23. Sl st on first sc, ch 1, sc 1 on sc,[ch 5, sc, (ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc in next) 9 times, ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc 2 in sc] around, sl st to join in beg ch.
